The lithotripsy ward of Shams Hospital provides services to the valuable visitors of the hospital under the supervision of proficient urologists and experienced staff every day from 08:00 to 13:00 except Fridays and holidays.

Lithotripsy is performed by Dornier Compact Alpha Ultrasound Lithotripter at this center and the device does not generally cause any complication in soft tissues, blood vessels, kidney nerves and treatment area. Blood in urine and slight damage can be seen as a result of lithotripsy caused by broken pieces, their wave-like movement and blood around the stone and can be controlled. It causes no special problem in kidney’s and urinary tract’s function in the long term. 

This device does not use x-ray and laser and is safe for patient, doctor, operator and the environment. Its precision and pulse penetration is several times more than other existing devices in Tabriz.

This is the only device equipped with shockwave system which is able to treat calcaneal spur, tenniselbow(inflammation of elbow), coccydynia(inflammation of tailbone), unhealed bone fractures, bursitis of the right and left shoulders and all types of tendinitis.
